Portmeirion Village by Mama Bear, Mike Robbins & rwadams

Nestled on a peninsula in Wales, Portmeirion Village is a unique getaway featuring beautiful gardens, Italian inspired architecture and now: coasters! Originally designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis to prove that a site can be developed in harmony with the landscape, an amusement park has now been carefully integrated to boost tourism.

The classically beautiful Hotel Portmeirion rests by the sea, complete with a schooner integrated into the waterfront.

Neifion by Mike Robbins

A golden floorless coaster roams through the colorful village streets.

Castell Deudraeth by Mike Robbins

A pair of inverted dragon coasters on the prowl through the grounds of Castell Deudraeth. Painted green and red as inspired by the Welsh flag, this photo captures the coasters prior to a good deal of fading that the paint has gone through.

Ercwlff Teithio by Mama Bear

The suspended coaster swings about the gardens of Plas Brondanw, the home of the Village’s founder, Sir Clough Williams-Ellis.
